Living By Water

I stopped on the Overseas Highway and with the excuse of letting the dog wander I whipped out the camera. There's lots of ways of living on the water. Or under it.Mangroves turn salt water to fresh and then drink it.
If I had to move to Key West I would miss the drive on the Overseas Highway.
It's just one road, but every turn is one helluva view.
With all due to respect to Cheyenne, my much loved Labrador, the Highway is still much better ridden by Triumph Bonneville than driven by Ford Fusion. But the views remain the same.

  2. I've always wondered if I could live on a houseboat. One day I might try and find out.

  4. Dear Conchscooter (Michael):

As tired as I was from my 6-mile ride on Friday, I read your blog. This blog is the sort of thing I would read in the bathroom, but I feel odd sitting on the can, trying to type with this beautiful computer on my naked lap.

Your photo of the houseboat got me thinking... And I found a company on Raystown lake that rents these for three days, four days, and by the week. I found a nice 60-foot model with a wide-screen TV, two full-sized staterooms, two showers, a hot tub, and a water slide that ends in the lake. It is fully air conditioned and goes for a $6600 weekly rental in July.

I asked Leslie if she'd lijke to try something like that for a week. She said, "No." Just like that.

    Here is the link:

Whack the link and look at the floorplan. I copuld live on one of these for 6 months out of the year. And think of the naked lovelies I'd have in the hot tub.

  5. Dear Danette:

So I went and checked out your blog... Happy 56th birthday! Your son Mack has the most innocent smile. He is already practicing his version of the "Battered Babby Seal' look. However, there was no T&A to be seen anywhere in your blog.

They call this "bait and switch" on used car lots.

    Fondest regards,
