Tuesday Pictures

I don't envy them living at anchor in hot humid rainy season, especially with a dog, and an energetic breed at that:
They call it the Historic Seaport or something these days. I call it the Bight. In nautical terms a bight (pronounced: "bite") is an indentation in a coastline suitable as an anchorage for instance.
Summer clouds:
I like to walk here at night during my lunch breaks:
They used to corral turtles here in the bad old days and they used the Afrikaner term for a corral for some reason, hence Turtle Kraals, pronounced "crawls."
All those dinghies at the city dinghy docks behind Turtle Kraals.

Monday Pictures

I took lots of pictures of Vespas in Italy so I did the same on Eaon Street:
"Living The Dream" with a phone and a bicycle and a baseball cap:
The summer rain tends to increase humidity:
Rusty, the unholy terror. He is actually afraid of cats that stand their ground:
So how do the t-shirt shops make $40,000 monthly rent selling shirts at five bucks apiece?
They raised the rent at the Lazy Gecko and the bar closed. Indicating it was no a business front I guess.
Good dog. He likes variety in his walks so I take him into town from time to time.
Ready for the day. Tourism seems to stay busy year round nowadays.
I hope September will be quieter.

Sunday Pictures

It was like Rusty saw the sign on the tricycle and posed, without a word from me.
Fausto's business hours etched in air conditioning humidity. That's how hot and sticky it is outdoors at the moment.
There has bene a consistent breeze this August which has been unexpected and delightful.
Along with sudden summer downpours making puddles and reflections everywhere.
La Concha Hotel on Duval Street

I am very fond of Williams' guidebook and glad to see it is still in print. And I am not fond of iguanas.
Duval Street early morning quiet:

But he gave it the old college try.

 And then a rest.

Friday Pictures

On my nighttime walks when I pass the former Strand Theater, now a drug store I never get tired of the lights and the color and I stop and stare. I do, every time:
To say you didn't see the signs would in my opinion require use of a breathalyzer for you:
A green navigation light across the harbor:
Solares Hill, Key West's highest hill 16 feet above sea level.
Key West green and flowery and damp from the rains.

Thursday Pictures

It's what everyone should be using for transport in Key West, they tell us, an humble bicycle:
I've seen this more than once, a heart, a key and a compass, and I saw this at Love Lane off Fleming:
I admire people who keep neat tidy flower boxes. My efforts end up looking like the Adams family:
In effect more like this:
He photo bombed my picture accidentally but I thought he looked happier than the original picture I was seeking:
I wondered what this meant. Maybe I should make one for my car?
Jamaican lunch on Stock Island. It's on Front Street on the way to the Hogfish Bar.

Why? I wanted to ask, what did the dog do?
On my Instagram I labeled this picture Lunch To Go.
