Argentines cook meat on wood fired grills. It’s the law. Or if it’s not the law it’s seriously popular. It’s popular in that everyone does it and serious because it’s important to them.
We met some German overlanders who introduced us to the Skotti grill which folds flat for transport but grills food when assembled.
Gas bottles are widely available in Argentina and Chile and we are gringos so we use bottled gas not wood.
We grilled sausages, peppers, steak and ribs. Buying the meat was a journey in discovery. Steak is blando. Every single damned country has its own vocabulary and when I become world dictator im going to standardize Spanish, so there. Meanwhile I use Google.
