I fear she is aging just a bit, finding it harder to get in the car, apprehensive about climbing the stairs after a long hot walk. Perhaps I allow her years to influence my perception.
I feel the same way about Pig who is 11 people years old; it makes me sad. When I arrive home from work I usually take him for a walk in the woods but he is noticeably slower and less enthusaiastic lately. Sometimes my wife and I carry him up and down the stairs. I often miss my young, playful dog.

Age is relevant. It's the happiness shining out of her eyes that lets you know she's still content.
