Things I have seen and enjoyed even though I speak not a lick of Turkish. We took a guided tour and saw the sights and we walked and walked. I was not allowed to photograph the Prophet Mohammed's foot print but I saw it while jostled by the prophets eager adherents. It was a good day.

Listening to the BBC just now and heard about a justice demonstration in Istanbul and 100 degree temperatures. Lovely pictures and stay safe.
How many rugs did you buy?
My friend, you have some amazing pics here; thank you for sharing. I could comment on several that I particularly like, but since dinner is on the table and Barbara is looking at me "funny", I'll leave it to one pic to comment on....the scooter with the water bottles....PRICELESS!
It looks like they have lovely streets to wander through. Are you drinking a lot of tasty turkish coffee?
Enjoy the turkish food (and I am not talking donair...), and don't miss out on the sweet stuff.
Drinking coffee and getting much grief for eating too much sweet stuff. We met some of the demonstrators on the Asian side of the Bosphorous handing out literature. They were very cheerful. Oh and we bought one rug. Not the $50,000 one or the $13,000 one. We bargained them down to $400 for a wool rug. RV size...
wow! Rome place is so beautiful the stone is very unique and i like her design.I hope someday i'm going there for vacation :)
Hello Michael, Thank you for the great photo's.
There's an old saying..."they can't miss you if you're never gone..." Well, we all miss you.
Safest travels to you and your dear wife.
