Signs Of Life

I was quite surprised to see the famous Five Brothers deli looking so quiet but it was more or less past lunchtime and fast approaching their three o'clock closing time.
Everyone should ride with a flower on their scooter. Except me as I would feel self conscious.
I never cease to be amazed by the variety and liveliness of porches not even presently occupied in Old Town Key West.
Living with an historical marker would be odd. But it is useful...
...if you live in an eyebrow home like this:
I was struck by the Triple A sign. Does anyone look beyond Tripadvisor anymore? Or Yelp? Or Urban Spoon? Or some other electronic index?

Hope you had a nice weekend off. Your blog is so nice for me to reflect and think back about our times in KW. We sold our place in October at the golf club after 9 years. After much searching, we decided on a condo in North Myrtle Beach SC. This winter at times in North Myrtle I have felt like I was right back in Florida with hoards of retirees and traffic. We have spent the winter remodeling. We miss KW but not the 18 hour drive back and forth from VA. We can always come for vacation a couple times a year and not have to worry about the house maintanance and the politics of the place. When I start missing KW, I read your blog and it helps jerk me back into the reality that the place wasn't perfect except when you're up north in the snow and feeling a little melancholy. Thanks again for the BLOG.

You can tell that AAA sign is an old one by the worn edges. I didn't even know AAA still existed.

I try to present daily life as I live it, rather mundane and bar free on the whole.I expect to be continuing for another three years or so until I retire and leave for a very different life.
And yes Triple A exists but whether they rate establishments anymore seems unlikely. Another victim of the web... though I like the give and take of daily online reviews.
