Following on from the first series of photographs I published a little while ago we have another series of photos from Havana. These pictures wer etaken by Kathy, a Big Pine Key resident while visiting Cuba on an authorised cultural exchange trip. I downloaded her pictures to my computer but I have neither explanations nor captions.

Street scenes that may well give an hisotrical perspective aftre the embargo finally gets lifted. I have a htird set of cuban pictures from Kathy's trip which I will publish next week.

The blond in the blue shirt is quite attractive.
Dear Sir:
Clicking on the 12th photograph causes it to expand, giving exquisite detail of the portal. While most examples of art common to the period tend to be somewhat formal, this one is sassy, defiant, and riveting to the eye.
One wonders if this is an example of free enterprise in the workers paradise...
How's the riding in Italy? Screaminly powergul, yet delightfully smooth in the curves? It is better to sip the Kool-Aid and accept reality than to resist.

My favorite picture would be No. 7. The picture of the guy taking a picture of the lady's legs. Nicely done.

Dear Mr. Madding:
That gentleman is obviously a European on vacation with his wife. The restaurant has come up with this clever idea of draping a bed sheet , adorned with such finery as is available, to encourage passers-by to stop and pose, and hopefully order something.
The steets of this city, I bet it is Havana, remind me of the streets of East Germany 25 years ago... Empty and sort of sad. And if that lady in photo #7 is a working girl, she has my condolences. No one should be put in such a position that emloyment of this nature seems like the best way out.
I bet Conch is soaring along the Apian Way, on a German machine that is slowly erasing the love for anything else.
Fondest regards again...

I agree, the 12th photo is exquisite. The off-center framing and the juxtaposition of the ancient with the new is beyond reporoach... (Best of all, I'm sure she's legal on that latitudinal line..)

Nice pictures. The streets there look cleaner than in our downtown area.
