This is not funny, it's not witty and it doesn't advance the debate over the now defunct health care reform one iota. Indeed, now that health care reform has been derailed by one election and the medical industry had already won every concession it ever needed in that unhappy debate, this piece of filth isn't even relevant to political debate in the US.
Having said that I am not a fan of this President I should point out that it is his lack of action that has exhausted my patience, not his "socialism," for which I do not see one iota of evidence. God knows the insurance industry cheered when he proposed his health care reform and their stocks went through the roof. Socialism indeed! If the right opposes any change to the current health care delivery system then give us rational reasons. If the right thinks current health care delivery methods need no change say so. They can't say that because we all know the current system is an impossible unfair mess. So they call the President names, they attack his citizenship and they call him a Communist. And the Republican leadership goes along with that crap. I call that sort of behavior morally and politically bankrupt and it contributes to the sense that our country is no longer governable. Tea Partiers want change, they say, but they support this kind of racist immoral behavior so when they say they want change to "Save the Republic" I dread to think how much worse they will make the current mess if they ever got enough support to influence our democracy. As long as they are a bunch of sidelined know nothings we can keep stumbling along in the hellish twilight world of Republican versus Democrat.
I want a President that really does stand for change for the better and I just wish President Obama were that leader. On the other hand we learn today that stimulus efforts may have created at least 1.8 million jobs, maybe more according to the Congressional Budget Office and Bloomberg reports housing may be more stable and industrial output may be in the black. It all seems rather feeble but one can only hope it's the start of something better. No doubt the Republicans will redouble their efforts to convince their followers the President is a Muslim.

Unfortunately, Baron also finds it necessary to post absolutely infantile, degrading posts about women. I was forced to point out to him that spam comments on other blogs for the purpose of having a link to his tripe are just not cool, and in the case of my blog, any further attempted comments would go straight to the spam folder. He responded by whining about needing something to do because he's unemployed. Hey dude, so am I, but at least I attempt to avoid giving the world the impression I'm a moron...

If he is unemployed in canada he still gets health care! Grrrr...
I guess it's a vain hope but I wish the political debate would come out of the gutter.
Dear Sir:
So now I'm a bit confused.
Are you telling the author of Baron's Life that he needs to apologize for resorting to bottom-feeding humor that was far more insulting than funny?
That's reasonable.
Are you telling us that you are advising the author of Baron's Life that his viewpoints are racist in the extreme and irrelevant to his position, therefore pointless, so you would prefer he did not post anything nor link to your blog?
That's also reasonable.
Are you advising us to drop and boycott the site Baron's Life because it is a vehicle of racist propaganda?
That would be reasonable too.
But are you then challenging the right of Baron's Life to run material of this nature, knowing that it might be projected onto the blogs of others?
It gets a little dicey there. Baron's Life has the right to talk about killing Jews, running Swastickas, and even the advantages of joining the KKK if he so sees them. This is his privilege. It is distressng and somewhat sad that he would exercise his priviledge in this manner — and it will certainly alienate a percentage of readers — but that may have been his intent.
On the other hand, he does not have the right to post pictures of this nature on anyone elses's blog... Especially if they could be construed as an endorsement or mutual political support.
In which case, the parent entity — Blogspot — should be notified of a potential violation. I suspect that this was a piss-poor attempt at humor, that was unintentionally beamed via an automated system to other blogs via pre-established links.
I am marginaly acquainted with the author of Baron's Life and have no stake in this matter whatsoever. I think the Obama Administration is hopelessly incompetent — on a scale equal to or greater than the previous bullshit administration — but do not now, nor have I ever, condoned racial epitahs nor humor of this kind.
I personally have no use for bigots, though I despise every aspect of the politically correct and write whatever I feel is appropriate. Rare is the day when I don't offend somebody. In the staggering majority of cases, they are assholes who deserve it.
The world is filled with people who do not understand the nature nor the value of a funny story. They should stay away from them. Peoople who cannot craft a good punchline are destined to become punchlines themselves.
By the way, I did not see eveidence of at least 1.8 million jobs saved and I'd be delighted if you could show me where these are and how I can get one. (The feds are probably counting the new MacDonalds that just opened and the members of ACORN who got walking around money.
Technically, I am not unemployed, as I earned 1/10 of my former salary this week. To the Bowing Barry Non-Action Figure, that shows me as being "employed." I am not a Republican... And I am not a Democrat. And I will be happy to drink tea. I will vote for the first guy who comes up to me and says, "Here is my plan to refocus the legislature... To limit the influence of special interests... And to introduce a strong measure of change in representing the interests of the American nation."
I pray to the Catholic Christ who maintains control and balance of the universe that this individual is a native American. It would be great is she was a Sioux, whose grandfather was a decorated WWII veteran of the Pacific campaign.
Refocusing the legislature is not on the agenda of the current asshole (read "liar" and "bait and switch artist" ) in the White House. And Conch, considering we are both thinking men, how can you refer to six, now seven, Republicans in the Federal Legislature, as a party, much less a power?
Throw all the bastards out.
Fondest regards,

PS: Entering politics requires one to acknowledge that their image, and that of their wife's and children, will be subject to the worst kind of character assassination that any moron with a computer can generate.
There are at least nine points of humor in my blog post scheduled for today that will offend a huge segment of the politically correct.
They can eat my shorts. Not the shorts I have on now, but yesterday's. The ones that made the dogs run out of the room.

Like I said the picture wasn't funny and it wasn't witty. His right to post it, my right to tell him he's an ass.
Have a nice day and I hope Christ works out for you. He may be busy in Haiti sorting through the followers he needs to bless and the ones he doesn't. I keep saying he doesn't exist and he keeps being nice to me. Weird huh?
Dear Conch:
He sent me into your life... Could change you're outlook, huh?
Cheers,
Riepe
During the debates, there was one point at which McCain referred to Obama as "that one" or something like that which had me squirming for a LONG time, it was just so uncomfortable. I wonder when I'll stop squirming from this one.
P.S. Did you read my follow-up comment to your Chur lamp-store window-display comment? They are (were?) different you know.
Z You will have to soldier on without me. Life is grim enough (check out this essay) without being put down for being silly, thanks. Enjoy the "nice picture" platitudes.I'd rather have riepe and buffalo muffin flaying me.
