Employment

I saw this rather startling graph on zero hedge not exactly a limp wristed left wing site. Happy Monday to you too, if like me you wonder why no one questions corporate America's hold on our country. Corporations aren't people.

This hallmark is from automation, offshoring, and financial incantation that would make a demon more than blush.

This doesn't surprise me one bit. With corporations like IBM and HP jumping on the "business solutions" bandwagon and their senior completion like Accenture and MphasiS stepping up their operations we will continue to that gap widen.

FWIW, the company I work for is in the process of off shoring and outsourcing. They're one if the last major broker dealers that have not gone through the process. I'll have knowledge transfer teams from India sitting with my staff in about three weeks to learn their tasks and once they're finished I'll be giving notice to 60% of my department that they've "been affected", the euphemism the execs like to use. It's going to be hard considering these people are not only my employees, they're also friends who have families and responsibilities. Seems the way of the world these days though...

I think it's ghastly, I can't imagine how you cope.

And then they prefer not to pay US taxes which should be the final nail in the coffin of their personhood, but most people don't seem to notice.
