His name is Mr Chapman. He had a house in Bahama Village on Chapman Lane...obviously a Conch of some pedigree, assuming you are not of those who insist only whites can be Conchs Nd I am told some still lurk in the recesses. He apparently got into financial difficulties when a hustler convinced him to participate in a scheme using his house as security for a loan. The hustler devolved the loan to himself and took the house when chapman was plucked clean. Legal they say, but nasty. Like most of us he was hanging on by a thin financial margin which he has now lost and has to leave Key West. He was well known for riding a wildly illuminated tricycle slowly around town playing extremely loud music. So gentrification continues apace.

Love the night picks. Who is the guy who is leaving KW , they mentioned they are selling his bicycle? I haven't heard you mention him here before.
I do like the Black and White picture of the lane behind Red Fish - Blue Fish....

And Key West gets a little more vanilla, I suspect you will see Mickey Mouse riding down the street before too long.
