I have run out of essays as I struggle to shake off this awful fever. Normal service will be resumed when I finally get over this nastiness. Soon I hope.

Hope you get better soon. We drive to Key West from Tofino (west coast of Vancouver Island,BC, Canada) every winter to spend December & January there. We read your blog every day and it helps us stay connected. Both KW and Tofino, have a similar end of the road feel, but KW has better weather in the winter!
Michael please follow your doctor's orders and take Layne's advice as well as chicken soup if she is inclined in that direction. No monkeying around with pneumonia.
Thoughts and prayers for your quick recovery. The crud is never any fun, but to me it always seems worse during hot weather. I agree about the hot chicken soup. Don't know why it works but it's great for respiratory ailments.
