Arizona Black And White

I got up before the sun but Rusty hardly needed me. He wandered off into the desert, never too far, never quite completely beyond the reach of my presence but he was on his own. He left me with my camera and I was in the mood to try to capture what I saw of the countryside around Cousin David’s house.

My first thought on seeing the pictures of the cactus was " I wonder if he has seen a cactus wren yet"?
Lo and behold , on further scrolling, there it is!
That would be a life bird for me.
But then most of the birds out west would be new to me.

I always loved the mangroves and colors of water and sky, but these are also stunningly beautiful.

Glad you liked them. Of course I had no idea there was a ca tux wren which posed just long enough to frame the picture before the unknown bird flew off. The light here can be quite interesting when the clouds blow off.
