Our parts are in the warehouse at the delivery service but the entire country is shut down for Easter so we can’t get our hands on them before Tuesday morning.
Yesterday I came down with a massive cold and a sore throat and spent the day in bed aboard GANNET2 in Tim and Desiree’s front yard. I slept a lot.
It’s only been a week but I am tired of forced idleness I confess. We have been beautifully looked after by Tim and his family but GANNET2 is a mobile home and being static grates. Today I’m feeling better thanks to Laynes ministrations and I think we shall take a drive in the rental car to the coast.
I just can’t stop thinking about the parts and hoping they are are the correct ones such that next weekend we might be in Guatemala back on the road.
Tim pondering how to splice the winch rope, one more casualty of a disastrous day.

That looks like a blue 1986 Volvo 740 Wagon near the tall grass down from your Promaster. I owned one the same color that lasted over 250k miles and driven for 24 years.
This one needs thousands in repairs and the owner doesn’t have the money unfortunately so it’s headed to the scrapyard. They are pretty much indestructible!
