Quito Old Town

I am tired. We’ve been busy doing but I am rather too worn down to string words together. Our local phone service has gone down in Quito and we found ourselves downtown with no phone. We managed big in a world that expects to have a cellphone not facing one makes for a lot of work. Not to mention finding our way back to our campground. So here are some pictures to tide me over till I can catch up.

And it ended in a downpour. Rainy season won’t let go.

Without cell service I had to figure out the way home using Google Maps offline. In the rain.  No fun at all.

Great photos as always, I thoroughly enjoy following your adventures to the places I will probably never get to visit. Thanks for sharing and hope you got your phone issues sorted out!

I got online with Verizon and they told me their international service was kaput. They were working on it and it’s back now. Or appears to be. It’s odd how helpless no phone service leaves you feeling. I used Google maps offline to work out chain street route back to the campground like the old days. An hour and twenty minutes instead of just 20 Google minutes….cheers. Peru up in a couple of weeks. I think that will be odd from what I’ve heard. Much better to stay home.
