Back In Arequipa

Some street scenes.
Food delivery.
He sells skewers of beef hearts with a boiled potato for a buck. Tastes like steak, you’d be amazed.
I came back early from Cusco as there was no Machu Picchu tour.
Accidental selfie. Technology is a struggle.

Now he’s dead his grandparents’ hometown celebrates Mario Vargas Llosa. He lived in Spain tired of the corruption of the country where he was raised.

7500 feet and I am acclimated.
In line at the government ID office.

Home sweet home.

'came back early from Cusco as there was no Machu Picchu tour.' Sorry, I would be pissed.

I am just a bit. The refund in 48 hours may now happen in a week. Luckily herself paid with American Express. Everything is a struggle when you get Peru’ed.

I am finding that everything is a struggle here in suburban Chicago too. Have to check up on everything and most things take more than one try to make happen. When something works the first time, I am quick with the thanks.

Hopefully the passport business went ok?

Life seems likely to get harder as we move into a new era and I wonder where we will end up.
The passport application seemed very smooth. They say to come by when they email me. Then I’ll have a passport good for the years and a drivers license that expires in 2032.the van registration we pay online in Florida. If we want to stay around here we can I guess.
